Frequently Asked Questions

  • Peer support is non-clinical, one-to-one support rooted in lived experience. It’s a space to talk, reflect, and be heard by someone who understands what it’s like to navigate change, healing, and uncertainty — without judgment, diagnosis, or pressure to “fix” anything.

These sessions are conversational and client-led. Some people come to process something specific, some come to vent, some come because they’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed and don’t want to hold it alone. There’s no right way to use the time.

Peer support is different from therapy. I don’t diagnose, treat, or give clinical advice. Instead, I offer presence, perspective, and grounded support — meeting you where you are and walking alongside you for the moment you’re in.

This is for people who want a steady, supportive space to slow down, talk things through, and feel less alone — without entering a clinical setting.

If that resonates, you’re in the right place.

  • Peer support is not therapy. I don’t diagnose, treat mental health conditions, or provide clinical interventions. Instead, peer support focuses on presence, understanding, and shared human experience. It’s often less formal, more flexible, and grounded in real-life perspective rather than a clinical framework.

  • Sessions are relaxed and client-led. We may start by settling in and grounding, then move into whatever feels most important for you that day. Some people talk through a specific situation, some process emotions, some just need space to vent or be heard. There’s no agenda you have to follow and no expectation to arrive with a “goal.”

  • This is for people who want a supportive, steady space to talk things through, feel less alone, and gain perspective — without entering a clinical setting. Many clients come during periods of transition, stress, overwhelm, or personal growth, or when they want support that feels human and non-judgmental.

  • Peer support is not therapy, crisis intervention, medical advice, or emergency care. It’s not a replacement for clinical treatment, and it’s not a space for diagnosis or medication management. If you’re in immediate crisis or need clinical support, I’ll always encourage reaching out to appropriate professional or emergency resources.

  • Yes. Sessions are private and treated with respect and care. What you share stays between us, with the exception of situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, in which case appropriate support or resources may need to be involved.
